New Computer Viruses just in time for Christmas!

A friend of mine, just last week wrote me that his desktop had refused to start.  Funny, it was working yesterday he stated.  

Has this happened to you, or is your computer being strange all of a sudden?  This Christmas Season I have discovered, has a few surprises in store for all of us, I fear, and they will not be good.  

I have a list of things you may want to scan your machine for and I will explain why.  
The trojans, worms and ill-fated viruses hide in the most lovely of packagings.  And are even able to hide in the image files we download for our articles or hubs.   

BEWARE THIS CHRISTMAS OF THE VIRUSES LURKING AS YOU SURF UNAWARE OR SEEMINGLY INNOCENT DOWNLOADS!!

A new set of viruses has emerged and if you are not aware of them, please become that way now or forever wonder why your computer refuses to work.

A small list of these new serious problems to the inner workings of your computer are :

These are nasty and even in the medium threat stage, can wreak havoc with your machine. If you are like me, and your machine is your life, please now, do not pass go. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR MACHINE, SCAN NOW.

Not all spyware programs will pick up these “buggers” I am going to give you the progrms to download, and also the place you may acquire them all. I would suggest you scan immediately if not yesterday to make sure you are “clean”.....

These little gems will come in peoples emails, they will come from image files taken off an image search in google, bing or wherever you search. Protect your lifestyle now.

Please bear in mind, it took all of these tools below in addition to the tools I already use daily to keep this machine running....had I shut it off, it never would have started again....this is the honest truth....over 12 hours of scanning and defragging to be here to write this article...

IF you are wondering whether these tools will conflict with your normal scanners, they will not. Of course unless you are running norton, which is a bad thing to begin with. Norton clogs your system with log files and uses all your disk space...I got rid of Norton when it crashed my computer by taking all the space for storing it’s own files which left no room for mine

I now use with great success and no viral challenges, Webroot Antivirus w/Spyware combined in one tool, PC Tools Antivirus, and Xoft Spy.......Between these three tools, my machine runs effectively most of the time.

But, as with all tools, sometimes they need extra help. No one tool is good enough to prevent all ills that hackers and misaligned people are putting out on the net in todays evil world. The three downloads may be obtained free of charge, and if you face a challenge such as I did last evening:

Over 73 Registry keys attacked.
A rogue spyware program tried to install itself on my computer
Keyloggers were installed (which allows hackers to see what I am doing with my machine as I type keys for entry to my bank account, email, or any other thing I type into my machine.
Over 100 errors occurred in my machine in a matter of seconds. Yes, seconds.....Why? Because I was downloading an image file in google. There is an image in “turtles”. It is a cartoon image of a blue turtle with a Christmas package on it’s back. This turtle contains all of the above, and as soon as you try to download it, a screen comes up with a FAKE REPAIR TOOL Which contains the damaging portion to your computer.

I have reported this to Firefox, and am intending after publishing this work to try to get to Google somehow and inform them also. My machine was unable to perform the functions required to do this reporting until this writing.>>>>>Protect yourself

After running the extra tools listed above, I have then had to defrag my machine, for when any tool you use to repair damages to your machine runs and fixes an error, then you face fragmentation. Every time a “fix” is performed on your computer, immediately defrag.

For this, I use Diskeeper. I now, after over 12 hours scanning, fixing, defragging, running also a tool called Trojan Remover, have again a “clean machine”. Able to do my bidding at a seconds notice.

I urge you......do this now. Perform the scans necessary on your own computer. The virusees, trojans, worms, hackers, keyloggers and even the cookies installed in your machine without your knowledge are rampant this season, and even a cookie can contain a code to ruin the functionality of your machine.
